New Office!

After months of searching and a month and a half of construction, painting, and preparation – we have finally landed at our new home: a converted 2,300 square foot warehouse to which we now refer to as MetaLand.

The Making of MetaLand

Overall, it took about two months of building, painting, and planning to transform this space from an empty warehouse to a comfortable work (and play) environment.

As creative people, one of the most difficult tasks that we found ourselves facing was determining which colors to paint the new office with.  We decided to go out on a limb and ended up selecting an exotic combination of blue, orange, yellow, and rust.  At a few points, we’d wondered if we had gone overboard with the color selections.  There were some especially tense moments as we watched some of the colors go up on the walls.  Ultimately though, everything really came together in the end and we have been very happy with the finished product.

The Grand Tour

At our previous location on Jackson Road in the south side of Ann Arbor, we shared facilities with Greenview Data.  Greenview Data was generous enough to sublease a portion of their space to us as we sought out a more permanent location.  For those of you that have had a chance to visit us at our previous address in the past couple of months, it was easy to see that we had run out of growing room.  The new offices are clearly a marked improvement over the previous location with nearly 3 times the space to work and play in.

Conference Room

Our new conference room comfortably seats eight and comes equipped with a all essentials. Eric Lynch, our Director of Operations, has generously loaned us some of his own original artwork to put on display throughout the office. I especially like the pieces he has up in the conference room.

Developer Area

Our designers and developers get a bulk of the new office space. Fully utilized, this area will comfortably fit 10 designers and developers.
