The only thing we use the &quot;Alert&quot; dashboard for, is configuring multiple alerts in one location. The actually alerts themselves are always sent to an email address. Tweetbeep is another great tool, thanks for mentioning it. Maybe we will cover that in a separate post.

@Walter Adamson: I agree, we ourselves underutilized Google Alerts not too long ago, so I would expect many people to also be in that same category. Thanks for the comment!
