Hi to all,
I feel the same sentiments as the other commenters do. It’s so hard to find do-follow blogs nowadays. I do understand why though, especially with all the spammers nowadays. Although do-follow links are highly considered in the world of SEO, it simply is not everything there is to it. Now, I just comment on blogs to share ideas with other bloggers and make friends too! It’s more fun and useful that way. Eventually, if other bloggers like you, they’ll tend to visit your site. One more thing, just like Indian Humour said, I could suggest using the Akismet plugin for wordpress blogs. Hell, it blocks alot of spam comments!

You can also use SEO BOOK tool bar. It has a button on the toolbar which highlights nofollow links. So you know upfront if its worth your time or not.

Some nice tips here, the move from nofollow to dofollow is a tricky one for bloggers, fighting spam versus a potential increase in pagerank. Overall I think dofollow helps more than it hurts.
